mood: calm and collected.. pero may hawak na palakol.

Pano ko ba sisimulan. Parang gusto kong sugurin ang mga blogs ng mga intrigero at intrigera, at mag-deklara ng digmaan. Naku masaya yan. Makikita nyo kung gaano kaangas at kakupal si AZRAEL. Pero wag na. Nagbabagong buhay na ako. Ang mas tamang paraan para mailabas ko ang kinikimkim kong kabuwisitan ay mag post ng entry na lang. At the same time linawin siguro ang mga bagay bagay na ipinagtataka ng iilan. Pramis, wala ako sa mood makipagbalitaktakan at makipag-ubusan ng lahi. Magbasa na lang kayo at sana maunawaan nyo ang gusto kong iparating.

Unang una, nakakasama ng loob kapag may nababalitaan akong nagsasabi na ang mga pinag-gagagawa ko raw ay may hinihintay na kapalit. Teka lang.. Medyo pakilinaw nga. Kapalit? Kelan ako nanghingi ng kapalit? Pera ba? Atensyon? Puri? lol

Ehem.. Kung mapapansin nyo, mayroon ilan beses na rin ako nag-share ng mixes ko online. I spent a considerable amount of time digging thru my materials and making these mixes for everyone. Inaabot na nga ako minsan ng madaling araw at ilan beses na rin ako napuyat para mai-upload lang. Kahit sino pwede mag-download. Kahit sino pwedeng makarinig at makatikim ng “club music” na nilikha ng isang tunay na DJ. Nanghingi ba ako ng pera? Nanghingi ba ako ng donasyon? Hindi. ‘Nuff said. Period.

Pangalawa. Hmmm… Eto ang talagang rason kung bakit nagsasalubong ang kilay ko at namumula ang tenga sa inis.. IMAGE HEADERS! Oo yan nga. Ang paggawa ng image headers sa ilang kaibigan na taga wordpress ang na-misinterpret ata at binigyan ng malisya ng iba. Hindi ko alam kung mga nagbibiro lang, o pasimpleng tinitira na ako. Wala akong balak alamin kung ano pa man yan. Pero ipapaliwanag ko pa rin kung bakit ko naisipan damitan ang ilan nating kaibigan na blogger dito sa wordpress.

Nagsimula yan kay Maru. Natuwa kasi ako at naisipan kong mag-offer. Ang dami na kase ng readers nya at sa tuwing napapadaan ako sa blog, parang papalit palit ng image header si bespren. Pakiramdam ko hindi nya makuha ang tamang timpla ng colors at fonts, kaya inalok ko sya. Eh call naman. Kaya gumawa si AZRAEL ng sampol. Hindi ko naman inaasahan na magugustuhan at gagamitin.

Nasundan yan ng kay Trish. She asked me to pimp her page. I did by starting with the image header.

Nagtanungan sila kung sino ang gumawa. Nagkataon na lahat halos eh kaibigan ko naman. Mayroong humirit ng “Huy! gawa mo rin ako!”. Kahit na pabiro, pero sineryoso ko naman sa dalawang dahilan.. 1) I like making header images, hindi naman kasi mahirap, at 2) Dumaan ako sa blogs nila at napansin na may potensyal na maging mas eye-catching ang page kapag ginawan ko..

Nasundan na nga.. I made headers for Jojie, Malen, Kengkay, Kath, Jovie, Annie and Brath..

Eto ang mga ginawa ko. Might as well flaunt ‘em. This is my blog and I can post anything I want. Wag na hihirit at baka palakulin ko lang ang ulo nyo.

BRATH (eto ang tunay na tumagal. ty ng ty di ko naman alam email ad. pano ko ise-send)

Yan ang ilang mga kaibigan na naigawa ko ng header image. Hindi ko kasalanan na puro babae sila. Hindi ko rin kasalanan kung nagustuhan nila ang gawa ko. Sana naman, wag haluan ng malisya. Kahit tanungin nyo pa isa isa yan, NEVER AKO NANGHINGI NG KAPALIT. At NEVER din ako nag-request na gumawa sila ng entry tungkol sa bagong damit nila. If they made an entry about their new image headers, they made it on their own free will. Ayoko na nga sana coz it might attract attention, pero they were raving about it and who am I to tell them what and what not to post. I guess it’s their way of saying “thank you AZRAEL”.. Hindi po ako naghihintay ng recognition. Galing sa puso lahat yan. Matigil na sana ang walang kwentang pasaring na kesyo si AZRAEL ay ganito, ganun, etc..

Madali naman ako kausap eh. Kung gusto nyo rin igagawa ko kayo. Parang magandang idea nga yata na pati ang mga boys igawa ko na rin. Siguro naman wala ng masasabi at di na mahahaluan ng maling akala.

Sya nga pala, bago ko makalimutan. If you think you can do better, then by all means DO IT.

I’m not here to get the ladies’ attention. If you want their attention for yourself, it’s all yours. Hindi nakukuha ang atensyon ng isang babae sa bunganga. Goodluck.

This is a major ranting. And a ranting by AZRAEL would not be complete without a parting line..

Sa mga nagkakamali ng akala, at pilit na binibigyan ng masamang kahulugan ang mga pinag-gagagawa ko…

I’ve been tagged.. again this time by Tintin, to do a wishlist for christmas. Sorry Tin, now ko lang nagawa. Hmmmm.. this would be my first time to actually make a list. Masama lang ang timing dahil I’m not in a good mood to even post an entry. Iba na talaga tumatanda, nagiging grumpy amft!

Here’s my wishlist:

1. Before Christmas, sana hindi na si GMA ang presidente. Wala ako pakialam kung magre-resign sya, mai-impeach, maalis via people power or kudeta, ma-aasassinate, bangungutin sa pagtulog, madadaganan ng asawa nyang elepante, mahuhulog sa manhole, maapakan ng higante, makidnap for ransom, tamaan ng kidlat, malunod sa isang batyang tubig.. Kahit ano basta mawala lang yang unano na yan.
2. Sana maitigil ko na ng tuluyan ang paninigarilyo. I stopped smoking for almost a year, last year. Kaso mo bumalik. Tumatanda na ako. I’m starting to feel changes in my body. Nakakaramdam na ako ng pananakit ng dibdib, frequent headaches, pain in the joints at kung anu-ano pa. Sisimulan ko sa pagtigil sa paninigarilyo para naman abutan ko pa ang debut ng anak ko. Magkaroon sana ako ng sapat na lakas at dedikasyon para maitigil na ito. Ayoko na talaga.
3. New gadgets and gear to play with. Mula ng maharap ako sa katakot takot na gastos, hindi ko na nabili ang mga gusto kong bilhin. This christmas, I wish I could save enough money to buy myself a Macbook Pro, a digital SLR camera (preferably a Cannon or a Nikon), a new iPod (coz I lost mine), and a PS3. Libre mangarap. Malay mo totoo si santa claus at ibigay sa akin lahat yan.
4. I wish my parents good health and a life full of happiness and joy. Tumatanda na si ermat at erpat. Mabilis ang takbo ng araw. Di ko namamalayan na kung gaano ito kabilis, ganun din kabilis ang kanilang pagtanda. Ayokong isipin na baka isang araw pag-gising ko, wala na sila. Wag muna lord please. Bigyan mo pa sila ng maraming taon para makasama ang kanilang mga anak at makalaro ang kanilang mga apo.
5. I wish for recognition from my boss and peers. Matagal na akong nagtitiis sa trabaho ko. Ok naman ang sweldo, kaso mo ang ginagawa ko pang-tatlong tao. Sana maisipan ni bossing na totohanin ang pangako nya na i-promote ako sa isang posisyon na mas nararapat sa akin. Sana rin, doblehin na nya ang sweldo ko tutal madami na syang pera dahil sa paghihirap ko. Pramis, pag nakuha ko lahat ito, hinding hindi na ako mag-iistrike. Lalo kong akong magsi-sipag sa trabaho. Hahabaan ko ang aking pisi at hindi na ako makikipag-murahan sa mga arabo pag hindi kami nagkakaintindihan. Hahabaan ko na rin ang oras ko sa field. Kung dati ay isang oras ako nakababad sa araw. Ngayon gagawin ko ng 1 1/2 hrs. Deal?
6. Achieving world peace comes with a prize. Nakakalungkot isipin na ang gulo na ng mundo. Patayin dito, patayan doon. Parang normal na yata ang nababasa mo sa balita na mayroong namatay na isandaang tao dahil sa suicide bombing. Sana matigil na ito. Sana sugurin na ng Amerika ang Iran at bombahin ang mga ungas na pasimuno ng katarantaduhan. Unahin sana yung presidenteng unano na mukhang matsing na laging naka-jacket. That would definitely make my day.
7. Last but not the least. I wish all my friends, buddies, and those close to my heart a sense of fulfillment this Christmas. Kung ano man ang kahilingan nila sa darating na kapaskuhan, sana makuha nila. Nothing beats the feeling of knowing those you hold dear, get what they wished for, and achieve their dreams and aspirations.

Yun lang. Kung meron man ako nakalimutan, ipagdarasal ko na lang. Sa akin na lang din siguro yun.

I miss playing in front of an enthusiastic crowd. I stopped DJing professionally in 2003, just before I got married. Most DJs have their own expertise when it comes to music. Tiesto is Trance. Deep Dish is Deephouse. Bennassi is Electro. Sasha is Progressive. Fatboy Slim is Breakbeat. Armand Van Helden is House. And the list goes on..

I have played these genres, and have patterned my sets to these great DJs in the past. But just like any other DJ or artist, you have to evolve and be uniquely different if you want to be known and respected in your chosen field. I think I had. I started playing new wave stuff, then progressed to Techno and Trance, and then House (and all it’s sub-genres), and finally ended my career playing Tribal and Electro. If that isn’t evolution, I don’t know what is. Sadly.. I never got famous hahaha! But I had my share of the spotlight, and in fact became a sought after DJ for major regional events in Cebu, Bacolod, Iloilo, Davao and Boracay (I once stayed in Bora for more than 1 month, playing every single night for 5k/3 hour set.. Do the math :D)

I DJ’ed not for the money, but for the love of the music. Ok ok.. sige na nga for the money na rin lol! I found peace of mind playing what I wanted, and being appreciated by a cool crowd. I remember “Limelight” days when Tribal Music was still new. No one knew what the hell I was playing, but being a DJ that interacts with a crowd, the moment I saw the smiles on their faces, I knew they where having a blast. I knew I was in for a looong crazy night!

I want to remember those wild parties, those untamed souls that danced to my beats, those ethnic tribal drums that dictated the mood of the night, those speaker-blasting basslines that haunted the discriminating ears..

Be with me in an imaginary club. Light a cigarette and grab a beer. Stay with me and….

I’ve been tagged by Vera to do Desktop Free View. From what I know, I have to post a screen capture of my desktop and then tag 5 people to do the same. Vera dear, I’m happy to oblige. Here’s my desktop.

I’m a very organized person. Not too much clutter as you can see, for I try to put all files and documents where they really belong. Aside from the usual folders on all Windows desktop, I only have a few, namely mixmeister folders (that’s where I store my mixes), Aila stuff (pics and other things about my baby daughter), temporary folders (all unorganized files and documents go here before sorting), blog stuff folder (anything related to blogging) and Autocad files (here’s where I keep all work related drawings).

I also have Desktop Sidebar installed on the right. I find sidebar very useful if I wanted to open another application when I’m doing something, or surfing the internet, without going back to the desktop and clicking those icons. My sidebar has 3 clocks running. Time in Muscat (where I’m at), Manila (home and where my family’s at), and New York (hmm.. don’t ask). It also monitors my network activity, CPU disk and memory usage, etc.

And finally, I have a cute picture of MARIA AILA YSABELLE, my little princess, my flesh and blood, my pride and joy, and MY DESKTOP ANGEL as my backround image. Can’t get enough of Baby Aila obviously!

Since I’m showing everyone my desktop, might as well give everybody a view of the other one. Here’s what you will see on my notebook.
