It’s been a year since I started sharing my mixes. In that span of time, I have shared 21 mixes already. Lahat ng ‘yan buong puso kong inialay sa mga taong interesado at gustong pakinggan ang iba’t-ibang klase ng ‘mixed dance music’ na nilikha ng isang DJ na tulad ko. Hindi maitatanggi na maraming tao din naman akong napasaya at may mga matang naimulat sa ganda at appeal ng Electronic Dance Music o EDM.

Sa kasamaang palad, may ilang tao na inabuso ang aking pagiging mapagbigay. If you search google for “DJ Robin Mendoza - Tiestofied”, babagsak kayo sa iba’t-ibang download sites. Yung iba ilegal, yung iba may bayad. This particular mix is just an example. Madami pa yang kumalat, and in fact a friend from the Philippines told me he saw a couple of my mixes being sold at bangketas and stalls somewhere in the University belt.. Re-titled mixes, with a different CD cover and my name removed and replaced by a different artist. Ngayon, sabihin nyo sa akin kung hindi tama na mainis ako dyan.

Natapos na rin ang nakakabwiset na pangyayari sa buhay ko na hinding-hindi ko malilimutan. Sino ba naman ang makakalimot kung muntik ka ng mapalayas sa bansang pinagtatrabahuhan mo sa isang bagay na kahit mismo ang ang mga taong nakapaligid sayo eh hindi maipaliwanag.

I’m talking about the medical problems I had. Akala ko noong una, talagang may sakit nga ako na matindi, at dahil doon ay mapapauwi ako ng pinas. Alangya, parang ang korny naman yata na ganun-ganun na lang ang katapusan. I almost went home because of what happened. Ang nakakatakot doon, uuwi pala ako at hindi na muling makakapagtrabaho kung hindi ko ipinaglaban ang sarili ko dito.

DJ Tiesto, the world’s greatest DJ (arguably) will be coming back to Manila on April 19, 2008 for the “ELEMENTS OF LIFE: Asia Pacific Tour”. This will be Tiesto’s 2nd visit to the country.
